NASCAR is running at the Formula 1 track, Circuit of the Americas later this season for the first time in their history. This will be many drivers first time ever running at the track and their first looks at the track will be that race weekend. Cole Custer is looking to maximize his time that weekend to gain more laps and will run the Xfintiy race for his former Cup Series team, Rick Ware Racing.
Running Xfinity has become a real advantage this season and the later half of last season due to NASCAR and their covid rules taking out practice and qualifying the only way to get more track time is to run in the other series before the Cup race. Custer is looking to turn around an awful season so far, not just for him but his whole team, after a dominant run last year form SHR. Custer has had a bad season that got capped off this past weekend at Darlington when he went head on into the wall after getting dumped. This could be big for Custer to turn his season around and get back to the form he was running at last year.
