Kaulig Racing has been a powerhouse team in the NASCAR xFinity Series since they took to the track for the first time in 2016. Last year they really blossomed and capped it off with a dominant showing at the plate tracks of Daytona and Talladega, they even had a real title contender in veteran driver Aj Allmendinger. Kaulig Racing has since expanded into a Cup Series team and has an opening in the #10 car for the 2022 season. There was a lot of speculation of who would land the ride and the longer the ride that formerly belonged to Jeb Burton stayed open, the crazier the rumors got. The team announced Thursday that Kaulig Racing would fill the open seat with Landon Cassill with his sponsor from his old ride at JD Motorsports, Voyager, to sponsor the car. This sponsor partnership makes Cassill the first driver to be paid fully with cryptocurrency.
This move is adding another veteran driver to the Kaulig stables alongside the most recent series champion Daniel Hemric, and back to back championship 4 driver Aj Allmendinger. This has been the formula that makes Kaulig such a dominant team, veteran drivers who have shown they can win and then put them in the car with the speed to win. Expect Kaulig to dominate the season and put all of their drivers deep into the playoffs and contend for the title by the end of the season.
